Pro Line was engaged to support the structural rehabilitation of a deteriorated 600NB steel pipeline located within the cargo oil tank (COT) of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. This landmark project represents the first known offshore installation of a pressure-rated UV-CIPP liner, combining trenchless innovation, offshore safety compliance, and engineered composite performance.
As a testament to Pro Line’s commitment to global standards, its UV-CIPP liner underwent a rigorous 12-month evaluation and third-party testing process, overseen by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). The liner was assessed for structural integrity, chemical resistance, and long-term durability under harsh marine conditions. Upon successful completion, the liner was formally approved for offshore use — a milestone achievement in UV-CIPP technology and material compliance.
The successful installation of a pressure-rated UV-CIPP liner within a live FPSO environment underscores Pro Line’s capacity to support the most demanding trenchless infrastructure projects. The works were completed safely, to specification, and without disrupting critical vessel operations — setting a new benchmark for offshore relining applications across the global energy sector.
